How It Works

Cure the barrel before your first fill. Once cured, add your spirit and Kentucky Bourbon Essence, then allow the charred American white oak to develop the batch over time.

For a 3L barrel, a typical first-batch aging window is approximately 6–7 weeks. Taste periodically and bottle once the spirit reaches your preferred balance of oak and bourbon character.

Small Barrel. Big Flavour.

The increased wood-to-spirit contact of a 3L barrel helps develop notes associated with charred oak including vanilla, caramelized sugar, toasted oak, spice and tannin. It offers a useful balance between experimental batch size and finished volume.
