We’ve created a way to move more volume than ever before for our friends at the spirit companies. On the lowest end, take Hunters restaurant in Ottawa, Ontario. During Covid, they were limited to 50 seats, so we started them off with a 5-litre and a 10-litre barrel. The 5-litre is aged for 45 days, while the 10-litre is aged for 60 days. Once each batch is done, they bottle, label and date it to include it in their weekly inventory. The kicker is within the first week, they are placing an order for 2 cases and then reordering another 2 cases after 45 to 50 days. Now let’s get on to the exciting part! We launched a barrel-aged event to advertise the release of their new “ Barrel-Aged Coffee Maple Bourbon Old-Fashioned’’ and promoted it through their network, and it was a huge success. We ordered wax to dip, sealed the bottles, and made beautiful waterproof labels. Happy to say they sold out within 3 hours. They used a $34 bourbon that retailed out the door for $70.00. They are now aging 75 litres of spirits, and the program has been a massive success for everyone.
